About my photo sessions

The success of my photos can largely be attributed to people’s involvement in other activities.  Engaging and entertaining activities provide more opportunities for genuine smiles and laughter.  I also have found that it helps take people’s attention off of me, the camera, and most importantly off of themselves.  All of these things are key to authentic expressions.

Because of this, when you hire me as your photographer, I would like for you to plan on ‘doing’ something during our photo session.  Doing can mean just about anything… do you (or your kids) play in instrument?  Do you have any hobbies? … the options are unlimited.  If you already have something in mind, great!  If not, I’ve included a few suggestions below to get you thinking.

Side note – Sessions can include one or multiple people, it’s up to you.  For sessions with one, it’s great to bring someone along that you enjoy and makes you laugh.  For groups of more than 4 to 5 people, I highly recommend scheduling at least 1.5 hours.

If you’re interested in seeing a full set of photos from a typical photo shoot, please let me know and I’d be happy to send you the links.
